Minting Keywords

In my research over the past few weeks, I’ve come across the idea of owning search terms or claiming keywords.

It struck me as an “aha” moment, think about it, there will be new keywords created each day, a concept, a new product, two seemly unrelated terms combined together will form its own search intent and create volume depending on how it’s up taken into popular culture:

Examples:

“Vine Compilation”

“RAT test”

“Hodl”

“lofi music”

“air fryer”

“only fans”

A lot of this will live on the frontier of Google Trends, deep into the practically unsearchable. Where search intent isn’t fully formed yet – it’s a cool concept to be able to “create” your own keyword by creating a term that captures a concept that doesn’t exist yet!
